Lojong Course with Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, inclusive a Chenrezi Empowerment
17/11/2017 20:00 - 19/11/2017 12:00€20 - €95
The 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche was born in 1995 as a son of Beru Khyentse Rinpoche and was recognized by Sakya Trichen Rinpoche, by Thaye Dorje, H.H. the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa as well as of Künzig Shamarpa as the reincarnation of the last Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche. He already started reading books in the age of 5 years and remembered the rituals and practices of his own tradition. In the age of 14 he began his extensive studies at the Sakya College, which he concluded successfully. Rinpoche had been here for the first time in 2011, accompanying his father and we are happily looking forward to receiving his own teachings for the first time.
According to Rinpoche’s own wish he will be giving teachings here about the 7 Points Mind Training (Lojong). We are particularly happy about this as it was the subject Shamar Rinpoche considered to be very important in the last years and which he taught us and emphasized as the main practice. The 7-Point Mind Training, a text composed by the Indian master Atisha, is considered to be one of the most precious teachings in the Karma Kagyu lineage and is the heart of the Sutra and Tantra teachings in the Mahayana tradition. What ever our practice, applying the mind training with its attitude towards benefitting all beings, deepens any practice. Actually our practice will get more meaning and it is also essential because it eliminates obstacles on the spiritual path.
