The 7 Points Mind Training is considered to be one of the most precious teachings in the Karma Kagyü lineage and it represents the heart of the Sutra and Tantra teachings in the Mahayana tradition. The text was composed by the Indian master Atisha, was then spread over Tibet and became the essence of practice for all Lamas. Whatever we are practicing, applying the mind training with its orientation towards the benefit of all beings deepens any practice. Our personal practice does indeed gain more meaning by applying the mind training and it is essential because it eliminates obstacles on the spiritual path.
Künzig Shamar Rinpoche is explaining the preliminaries as well as the basis of the 7 points mind training according to the Kadampa tradition.
