Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche, lineage holder of the Karma Kagyu school and founder of the Bodhi Path Organization, entered parinirvana here at his European seat on June 11, 2014.
In honor of Shamar Rinpoche (the 14th Shamarpa), three days of prayer ceremonies (Drubchö) have been held annually since then, and we are happy that Lama Yeshe Sangmo and other ordained Sangha members from the Möhra Dharma Center and the monasteries in Le Bost and Laussedat will come to lead the pujas. During these three days, the practice of Gyalwa Gyamtso, the red Chenresig, Buddha of Compassion, will be performed.
It is possible to simply be present, enjoy the blessings, or quietly perform your own practice. Just send an email to info@bodhipath-renchen-ulm.de if you would like to book accommodation with or without meals. Helpful support during these days is also very welcome and just as meritorious.
Times: Tuesday, June 9 – Thursday, June 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to approx. 6 p.m., including the Mahakala Puja.
Participation is free of charge – donations are most welcome.
The ceremonies will also be streamed via ZOOM. Access details will be published here in advance.
