Following the wishes and recommendations of Lama Jigme Rinpoche, this course is dedicated to one of the most important works of Tibetan Buddhism: ‘The Precious Jewel of Liberation’ by Gampopa. This profound fundamental work combines the essence of the Mahayana path with practical instructions and offers clear guidance on the path to inner freedom. Rinpoche sends us Acharya Kalsang Phuntsok, giving us the opportunity to get to know this work and delve deeper into it. Together we explore central themes such as the foundations of compassion and wisdom, the stages of the spiritual path, and the importance of meditation and ethical conduct.
The course is aimed at everyone, beginners or practitioners, who are looking for inspiration and clear guidance for their Buddhist understanding. At the same time, it is a study course, i.e., it will be continued once a year and the content should be reviewed thoroughly in the meantime – ideally, of course, in a study group.
With consideration for all working professionals, the course will have two teaching sessions daily on weekends and one evening session each weekday. For those who will be attending in person, there will be practice and study sessions during the day on weekdays and a question and answer session. All teaching sessions will also be streamed, and participants will receive audio recordings of the sessions with Acharya Kalsang Phuntsok.
