31/08 10:00 - 01/09 12:00€16 – €60
Lama Tsültrim Gyamtso, 76 years old, is a very experienced practitioner, also called a Yogi. He will explain the Medicine Buddha practice and on Sunday he will give an empowerment to the Medicine Buddha. This is one of the rare opportunities to get to know a Lama, who has been close to H.H., the 16. Gyalwa Karmapa, for many years.
Lama Tsültrim Gyamtso, born in 1942, grew up in the area of Nubri, Nepal, which is why he is also called Lama Nubri. In the age of 15 years he entered the Indian monastery in Rumtek, Sikkim, helped there setting up the monastery and for a while he also cooked for H.H., the 16. Karmapa. Following Karmapa’s wish, he concluded together with Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche the first 3-year retreat that took place in Rumtek. Thereafter he studied at the Nalanda Institute and underwent several retreats in the mountains. For many years already he has been living in Rumtek again together with the monks of Shamar Rinpoche.
