Trinlay Rinpoche – Boundless Awakening

Trinlay Rinpoche will be teaching according to Shamar Rinpoche’s book ‘Boundless Awakening’, which includes an introduction to the meditation of calm abiding (Tibetan: Shine/sanskrit: Shamatha) as well as to the meditation of deep insight (Tibetan: Lhagthong/Sanskrit: Vipashyana).  Rinpoche will provide explanations and instructions in his usual manner of conveying profound content in an accessible way. Quote from Shamar Rinpoche: “The practice of meditation leads to a mind that is more peaceful, more tranquil and more at ease. Because the mind is more relaxed, events that usually disturb us seem to take on less importance, and we stop taking them in such a serious way. Likewise, through meditation the mind gradually learns to be independent of external conditions and circumstances. This mind that is unaffected by outer conditions is then able to discover its own stability and tranquility. A stable mind, one that is not disturbed, leads to the experience of less suffering in our lives.” The book is available in our shop (also online).

Karma Trinlay Rinpoche was recognized by the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa as the reincarnation of an important Buddhist teacher. He underwent traditional training for tulkus and also studied at Western universities. He is considered the first Western reincarnation of a lama of the Karma Kagyu school and teaches in Asia, Europe, and America. Among other things, he also leads the Bodhi Path Instructor Training in Renchen-Ulm. Rinpoche lives with his family in the Dordogne, France. See also: karmatrinlay.org
