Sabchu Rinpoche’s Course – CANCELLED!

We are very sorry to inform you that also this course has to be cancelled due to situation around Covid19 – Sabchu Rinpoche had to cancel his whole Europe tour planned for this year.
So we train our patience and wait for a new date next year, which will hopefully take place again in a ‘normal’ way.

According to Shamar Rinpoche’s guideline for the Bodhi Path Centers, the core of the curriculum is mind-training, which is presented in a very profound yet accessible way in Rinpoche’s books Path to Awakening and Boundless Wisdom. For the core of the lojong practice, the 7 points of mind-training specifically, Rinpoche stressed on studying the A Concise Lojong Manual, by the 5th Shamar Rinpoche, Konchok Yenlak (1526-1583). It is a deceptively small book but contains all the pith points of the subject in an applicable manner.
With the course offered here, Sabchu Rinpoche will continue the multiyear, ongoing course following that text. Accordingly, this course will provide a condensed presentation of the Lojong maxims and explanations and will take place in a retreat format as shown in the following example for Saturday:
07:00 – 08:00 Taking refuge, generating Bodhicitta, meditation (Instructions as needed)
08:00 – 09:30 Breakfast in silence
09:30 – 11:00 Teaching
11:00 – 11:30 Break in silence
11:30 – 12:15 Meditation (including walking meditation and mindful stretching)
12:30 – 14:00 Lunch break
14:00 – 15:00 Walking mindfully in nature
15:00 – 16:30 Teaching
16:30 – 17:00 Break in silence
17:00 – 18:00 Teaching
18:15 – 19:45 Dinner break
19:45 – 20:30 Instructions, exchange, Q/A.
20:30 – 21:00 Chenrezig practice, dedication and aspiration prayers.
Sabchu Rinpoche, Tibetan, is a high Buddhist teacher, born and raised in Nepal. He is overseeing the activities of the Karma Kagyu monastery in Swayambhu. In addition to the traditional Tibetan education and training, Rinpoche also completed a Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies in Canada. Dividing his time between personal retreat, overseeing his monastery, and teaching Dharma, Rinpoche also sets aside some time to write short teachings and narratives.
Schedule: Begin FR 8pm, SA as listed above and Sunday same until lunch time
Fee for the entire course: € 85 (reduced € 70, valid for supporting members, students, unemployed and pensioners)
