Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde,

am 11. Juni ist es bereits zwei Jahre her, dass unser geliebter Meister-Lehrer Shamar Rinpoche ins Parinirvana eintrat. Wir möchten euch gerne dazu einladen, euch an der Ansammlung von Wünschen und Gebeten zu beteiligen, um Ursachen und Bedingungen für Rinpoches schnelle Wiederkehr zu schaffen.

In fast allen Bodhi Path Zentren und Gruppen wird es Aktivitäten geben, die ein gemeinsames Erinnern und Ehren unterstützen und damit die Verbindung stärken.
Ihr seid herzlich eingeladen, an den hier vom 9.-11. Juni stattfindenden Pujatagen zu Ehren und im Gedenken an Shamar Rinpoche teilzunehmen. Wie im letzten Jahr sind Ordinierte und Laien aus Möhra und Laussedat gekommen, um für drei Tage die Gyalwa Gyamtso (roter Chenresig) Puja durchzuführen. Wir sind glücklich und dankbar, dass dieses aufwändige Ritual zu Ehren von Shamar Rinpoche wieder ausgeführt werden kann!
Während der Gyalwa Gyamtso Puja kann auch die ‚normale‘ Chenresig Praxis gemacht werden, die Wunschgebete von Samantabhadra rezitiert oder das Gebet zur schnellen Wiederkehr von Shamar Rinpoche angesammelt werden. Zusätzlich zu dem Segen, den diese Praxis hervorbringt, ist sie auch die Quelle großen Verdienstes, den S.H. Karmapa ‘die Lebenskraft des Geistes’ nennt. Obwohl es sehr gut ist allein zu praktizieren, wird gesagt, dass die Praxis in der Gruppe den angesammelten Nutzen um ein Vielfaches verstärkt.

Am Samstag den 11. Juni, dem Tag an dem Shamar Rinpoche ins Parinirvana eingetreten ist, findet zum Abschluss eine große Tsok Puja statt mit Opfergaben. Teilnehmende können gerne dazu beitragen (mit Blumen, Süßigkeiten, Früchten o.ä.). Wenn ihr hier übernachten und/oder essen möchtet, brauchen wir allerdings eure vorherige Anmeldung, bitte.

Wie wir alle wissen, ist der Abschied von einem so hoch verwirklichten Bodhisattvas wie Shamarpa ein großer Verlust für die Welt, für jede/n einzelne/n. Die gemeinsame Praxis an diesem Jahrestag ist aus verschiedenen Gründen wichtig.
Thaye Dorje, S.H. der 17. Karmapa sagte nach Rinpoches Tod: “Die Zeit des Trauerns ist gekommen.” Ehrendes Gedenken an den Abschied erleichtert es uns, den Verlust zu integrieren und in der jeweils eigenen Weise zu trauern. Aber das ist noch nicht das Wichtigste. Der wichtigste Aspekt liegt darin, die Bedingungen für Shamar Rinpoches Wiederkehr zu schaffen, weil wir seine physische Manifestation brauchen, seinen “Tulku” (Manifestationskörper). Seine Aktivität setzt sich zwar natürlicherweise fort und sie ist viel weitreichender als die der Person Shamarpa, die wir kannten und die wir wiedertreffen möchten. Dennoch brauchen wir diese physische Unterstützung. Die ersehnte Manifestation des 15. Shamar Rinpoche ist auch der Garant für den Fortbestand der Kagyü Linie, so wie es Karmapa ist. Das ist ihre Verpflichtung als Bodhisattvas für das Wohl der Wesen: das Erbe von Gampopa, die Mahamudra-Linie, dieses Juwel authentisch zu bewahren, um es so vielen Menschen wie möglich zugänglich zu machen.
Das ehrende Gedenken an den Abschied von Shamarpa bedeutet für uns alle, die Ursachen für seine schnelle Wiederkehr hervorzubringen.
Wenn gesagt wird, dass die Aktivität von hoch verwirklichten Bodhisattvas unvorstellbar ist und jenseits von Zeit und Raum, so ist das nicht nur ein Bild. Dennoch ist diese Aktivität nur möglich in Zusammenhang mit der Offenheit der Wesen, und ihre Entfaltung ist abhängig von dem Vertrauen und dem Verdienst, der von jedem/jeder einzelnen angesammelt wurde.

on June 11 it is already two years that our beloved master-teacher Shamar Rinpoches entered the parinirvana. We would like to invite you all to join in the accumulation of wishes and prayers in ordert o create causes and conditions for Rinpoche‘s swift return.

In nearly all Bodhi Path centers and groups activities will be provided to support the commemoration of Shamar Rinpoche and strengthen the connection to him in a group.
You are most welcome to join us during the 3 days of pujas, which will take place here from 9th to 11th June for the commemoraton of Shamar Rinpoche. Just as last year ordained and lay people from Möhra and Laussedat have come to perform the Gyalwa Gyamtso (red Chenrezig) Puja for three days. We are very happy and grateful that this extensive ritual will again be provided in honor of Shamar Rinpoche!
During the Gyalwa Gyamtso Puja one can also recite the ‚normal‘ Chenrezig practice or the wishing prayers of Samantabhadra or the prayer for the swift return of Shamar Rinpoche, which was composed by Gyalwa Karmapa Thaye Dorje can be accumulated. In addition to the blessing that these practices carry, they are also a source of great merit, which H.H. Karmapa calls ‘the life force of the mind’. Furthermore, although it is very good to practice on one’s own, it is said that practicing together as a group exponentially multiplies the benefit accumulated.

On Saturday, June 11, the day Shamar Rinpoche entered the Parinirvana, a big Tsok Puja will take place with offerings. Participants are welcome to contribute to this (with flowers, sweets, fruits, etc.) If you wish to book a bed and/or food here, please help us organizing everything by sending your registration in advance.

As we know, the departure of the manifestation of a highly realized bodhisattva like Shamarpa is a great loss for the world, for everyone. Gathering together to practice on the occasion of this anniversary is important for several reasons.
Thaye Dorje, H.H. 17th Karmapa said after Rinpoche‘s passing: “The time of mourning has come.” Commemorating a departure allows each of us to integrate the loss, and to grieve in his or her own way. But this is not the heart of the matter. The most important aspect is to generate the conditions for Shamar Rinpoche‘s return, because we need his physical manifestation, his “Tulku” (body of manifestation). Of course his activity is continual; it is much more vast than the personage of Shamarpa that we knew and wish to meet again. Nevertheless, we also need this physical support. The much-awaited manifestation of the 15th Shamar Rinpoche is also the guarantor of the continuation of the Kagyü lineage, just as Karmapa is. This is their commitment as bodhisattvas for the benefit of beings: to preserve the heritage of Gampopa, the lineage of Mahamudra, preserve this jewel authentically in order to make it available to as many people as possible.
For all of us, commemorating the departure of Shamarpa means generating the causes for his swift return.
When it is said that the activity of highly realized bodhisattvas is inconceivable, transcending time and space, this is not just an image. Nonetheless, this activity is subject to the openness of ordinary beings, and its deployment depends on the faith and merit accumulated by each individual.
